Details on the measured signal :

This is a 40Gb/s NRZ measurement realized with the AP2440A optical complex spectrum analyzer.
We used the eye diagram feature of the AP2440A. In the top part of the screen, the blue trace represents a 16 bit pattern used for the eye diagram display and the red trace represents the transient chirp in GHz.
In this example, we measured a 16bit pattern at 40Gb/s generated with LiNbO3 Mach-Zhender type intensity modulator driven by a 40Gb/s pulse pattern generator.

   

AP2440A benefits :
